For the Crust:
- 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté Brussels sprouts in bacon fat for 5 minutes until slightly softened. Transfer to the baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, Gruyère, Parmesan, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir over low heat until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
- Pour cheese sauce over Brussels sprouts. Sprinkle bacon on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
