Description
This Banana Bread is soft, moist, and bursting with natural banana flavor. Made with ripe bananas and simple ingredients, it’s a foolproof, crowd-pleasing loaf perfect for breakfast or snacking.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
4. Stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
5. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas with lots of brown spots for best flavor.
Wrap leftover banana bread in foil or plastic and store at room temperature up to 3 days.
For added texture, sprinkle extra walnuts or sugar on top before baking.
