Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients to form dough.
  4. Press dough into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  6. Pour cheesecake mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
