Tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, all cooked effortlessly in your slow cooker.

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour the entire jar of marinara sauce over the chicken, ensuring it is fully covered.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the chicken. Cover again and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot over pasta, rice, or with a side of vegetables.
