For the Crust:
- 2 lbs beef short ribs
- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Sear the short ribs in a large pot over medium-high heat until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add onions to the pot and caramelize over low heat for about 20 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Return the short ribs to the pot, add beef broth, and simmer for 1 hour. Serve topped with toasted bread covered with gruyere cheese.
