Delicious and fun Santa face cookies that bring holiday cheer to your table.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Red food coloring
  • Mini chocolate chips for eyes
  • Mini marshmallows for hats
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  4. Divide the dough into two parts. Tint one part with red food coloring for Santa’s hats. Shape into small circles for faces and hats, place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Add mini chocolate chips for eyes and use mini marshmallows for the trim of Santa hats.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire racks.
  7. Before serving, dust the cookies lightly with powdered sugar to mimic snow.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
