For the Crust:

  • 1 pound corned beef, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup Russian dressing
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a baking dish, layer half of the rye bread slices on the bottom.
  3. Top the bread with half of the corned beef, half of the sauerkraut, half of the dressing, and half of the Swiss cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  5. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
