Savory Reuben Bake

Description

A delicious casserole with layers of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, reminiscent of a classic Reuben sandwich.

For the Crust:

  • 12 slices rye bread
  • 1 pound sliced corned beef
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Layer half of the rye bread slices in a greased baking dish.
  3. Top with half of the corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing. Repeat layers.
  4. Bake, covered, in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  5. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
