Description

Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake is an over-the-top dessert with layers of peanut butter, gooey chocolate, cream cheese, and cake mix that melt together into a rich, indulgent swirl of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1 box chocolate fudge cake mix

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 large eggs

1 cup water

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter chips

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. In a bowl, prepare cake mix by combining with oil, eggs, and water. Pour into prepared pan.

3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.

4. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Do not mix.

5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and peanut butter chips evenly over the top.

6. Bake for 35–40 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly gooey.

7. Let cool at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
