For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon key lime zest
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 325Β°F (165Β°C) and grease a 10-inch bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternately with key lime juice and milk. Stir in lime zest.
- Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
