For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon key lime zest

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325Β°F (165Β°C) and grease a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternately with key lime juice and milk. Stir in lime zest.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
