For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 8 oz white chocolate, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Mix in melted white chocolate until combined. Fold in pecans.
- Divide batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely before frosting with your favorite icing.
