For the Crust:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade. Add shrimp and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, reserving the marinade. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp.
  3. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened to create a glaze.
  4. In a small bowl, mix sriracha and lime juice to create the chili lime sauce.
  5. Assemble bowls with a base of rice, top with glazed shrimp, drizzle with chili lime sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
