Description

These Fried Cheese Bites are golden, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside—perfect as a party appetizer, game-day snack, or indulgent comfort food treat.

Ingredients

* 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut into 1-inch pieces

* 1 cup all-purpose flour

* 2 large eggs, beaten

* 1.5 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs

* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

* Vegetable oil for frying

* Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

1. Freeze cheese pieces for 30–45 minutes until firm.

2. Place flour in one bowl, eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and pepper in a third.

3. Dip each frozen cheese bite in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture. Press crumbs to coat.

4. Repeat egg and breadcrumb steps for extra crunch (optional).

5. Place coated bites back in freezer for 10 minutes.

6. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).

7. Fry cheese bites in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden.

8. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

9. Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

Freezing the cheese first helps it stay inside the coating while frying.

Use panko for extra-crispy texture.

Try cheddar or pepper jack for variation.
