Description
Tender, juicy steak bites seared in a rich garlic butter sauce, served over cheesy tortellini coated in a decadent homemade Alfredo cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta cooks, season the steak bites generously with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the steak in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in the grated parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and begins to thicken.
- Return the cooked steak bites and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Add the cooked tortellini and toss everything to coat evenly in the Alfredo sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
