- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease an 8Γ8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, then stir in the pumpkin puree until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
