For the Crust:
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sausage bites and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sautΓ© for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
