Creamy French Onion Butter Rice

For the Crust:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and caramelize until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add rice to the skillet and stir to coat with the onion mixture. Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
