For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups diced apples
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before removing from the tin.
- Whisk powdered sugar with 1-2 tbsp milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over warm fritter bites and serve.
