For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; beat well.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
