A delicious creamy pasta dish featuring Italian sausage and bowtie pasta, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, removed from casing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, use hot Italian sausage. Serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
