For the Crust:

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour and panko breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken tender in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
