For the Crust:
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour and panko breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken tender in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
