A delightful bread with chunks of apple and a sweet cinnamon glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ—5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Fold in the diced apples. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
