For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1β2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the diced apples. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.
