For the Crust:
- 1 (14 oz) package sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 1 pound cooked corned beef, chopped
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 8 slices rye bread, cubed
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9Γ13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the sauerkraut, corned beef, Thousand Island dressing, and sour cream. Mix well and spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the cubed rye bread over the meat mixture. Top with the shredded Swiss cheese and drizzle with the melted butter.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
