For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3/4 cup Marsala wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge them in flour, shaking off excess.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sautΓ© mushrooms until tender. Stir in Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits, then add chicken broth and heavy cream. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer until the sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
