For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ—13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and melted butter. Add 2 eggs and mix well. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and remaining eggs until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until fully combined.
  4. Spread the cake mixture into the prepared dish and top with the cream cheese mixture, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned and set. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
