Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon.
  4. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave 3 inches between each cookie.
  5. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are nicely browned. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
