For the Crust:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 pound rigatoni pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the beef. Stir well and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and well combined.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and stir to coat the pasta with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
