For the Crust:

Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ9 inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl it into the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
