Description
Tender, spicy Cajun-seasoned steak tips are served over bowtie pasta smothered in a rich, creamy Parmesan cheese sauce for a comforting and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 oz farfalle (bowtie) pasta
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta cooks, toss the steak tips with the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak tips and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic, sautΓ©ing for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and steak tips back to the skillet, tossing everything to coat evenly in the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
