Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta

  • Author: Chef Lolytta

Description

A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender steak and juicy shrimp, all tossed in a homemade Alfredo sauce with a kick of Cajun seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1/2 lb sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, season the steak strips and shrimp with 1 tablespoon of the Cajun seasoning. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and remaining Cajun seasoning, whisking to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Whisk in the parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and has thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta, steak, and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss everything until well coated in the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
