For the Crust:

  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sautΓ© until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef and tomato sauce, mixing well.
  6. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
