For the Crust:
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sautΓ© until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the beef and tomato sauce, mixing well.
- Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
