For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Mix in sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface, then transfer to a greased bowl to rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and cut into rounds. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- For the filling, whisk heavy cream until thickened. Fill cooled donuts with cream.
- Melt chocolate and pour over filled donuts as a glaze.
