Deliciously seared scallops in a spicy Cajun cream sauce perfect for a scrumptious meal.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 pound sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Return scallops to the skillet and coat with sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
