For the Crust:
- 1 box fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce, warmed
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Prepare brownies according to package directions. Let cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Fold into peanut butter mixture.
- In a trifle dish, layer half the brownie cubes, half the peanut butter mousse, and half the fudge sauce. Repeat layers.
- Top with chopped peanuts if desired. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
