For the Crust:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and lightly grease a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the top is golden and the rice is tender.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
