Balsamic Grilled Flank Steak Caprese

A savory and refreshing steak dish featuring the flavors of balsamic vinegar and a classic Caprese salad.

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Marinate the flank steak in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated flank steak for about 5-6 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice it against the grain. Serve with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil, drizzling extra balsamic vinegar on top.
