A simple, elegant, and incredibly flavorful appetizer featuring creamy baked feta cheese topped with briny olives and sweet sun-dried tomatoes.

For the Crust:

  • 1 (8 oz) block feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. Place the block of feta in the center of a small baking dish. Arrange the olives and sun-dried tomatoes around it.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture evenly over the cheese, olives, and tomatoes.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and the edges are lightly golden.
  5. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve immediately with slices of crusty bread for dipping.
